Decoupage Project: Crown Dish

This wooden dish was purchased on a whim (I didnot realized a noticeable defect).

Still, I'm quite happy with the way it turn out eventho it's a very simple project -only 2 coats of white gesso and Rosabelle tissue (not napkin) since the dish is not that big.





It will look nice mounted on the wall (I think) but at the moment it sits on the bookshelf being very useful serving as a holder for this&that.

Decoupage Paper: Miniature Annie's Rose

By Australian decorative artiste, Annette Stevenson. She's very well-known for her bears, too.

I bought this paper at Craft Haven in 1 Utama. So far, no project with yet, but I did used it here.

Ribbon Embroidery Project: Raya Cookie Cannister # 2

This is a sample I made for a friend.

For her set of 6 covers, I used a discontinued IKEA fabric (can't recall its name) and matched it with the red lace featured here and green ribbon.

Decoupage Project: Herbier Chopping Board

This is Herbier on inexpensive plastic chopping board (puchased in Tesco), measuring 15cmX25.5cm.

I pasted the whole piece using matte sealer and shaded it with a blend of Jo Sonja's Yellow Light and Folk Arts' Ivory White. The wordings and the border (barely visible in this photo) are in Jo Sonja's Pine Green.

Instead of varnish or glaze, I used clear spray. The final result is a very nice matte finish.

Decoupage Serviette: Rose Redoute

Size: 33cmX33cm.
Price: RM3 per piece

Pattern on cream background. The fourth part is a repeat of the 3 roses but slightly smaller in size.



Note: Redoute was a famous 19th century French botanical illustrator.
