Decoupage Project: Door Hanger

I've posted this door hanger on WMC before but was told it wasn't clear. Just click on the image.

Took me only a few hours one night to complete it (the MDF already primed weeks before - waiting patiently for me to 'inspired'). I think the end result came out very nice hence why this design has become one of my favourites.

For Display Only: Cupcake Desert Fork

Cupcake Desert Fork

The pink rose was a leftover from another project.

Decal Project: Candles

I'm pretty selective when it comes to decal design.

Flower Border

Happy Anniversary

These are the ones I did a couple of months back.
Candles are IKEA's (come in 4s), the cream candle platter is a good bargain from TESCO.

Decoupage Project: Clothes Hanger

I've made a similar hanger last year.

This one had an additional 2 ripe strawberries tho. The yellow base is from Jo Sonja mix with gesso.

Decoupage Project: Giant Cup

My one and only decoupaged cup, bought at a RM2 shop.

This is Rosamond with on Jo Sonja's purple background. It marks my first attempt at shading - I believe it has improves a lot since then.

The gold line at the mouth is by Ziggy Paint Marker (which I do not recommend, at all - others might differ). I've switched to UNI brand.

Decoupage Project: Octagon Stationery Holder

I did this holder a couple of weeks ago. Those are some of my paint markers.

Using Cath Kidston Floral Gingham in blue, I decided not to use the checkered part. I shaded the background with Jo Sonja's blue diluted with retarder instead. I've also added a very thin gold line at the holder's top and base.

Decoupage Project: Baby Hanger

My first baby hanger.

I decided to make it very simple with a single rose and shaded with a hint of pink.

To those who asked, the hanger is 20cm end to end, and 10cm high (minus the hook).

Decoupage Project: MDF Holder

I like this MDF holder cos of its scallop design. What can it hold? Napkins, bills, letters, even glass coasters.

The red base is not included (It's actually one of my son's BYGA toy from IKEA that fits nicely). Definitely for aesthetic purpose only.

Front

Back

It doesn't matter which side it's facing, still as pretty, I think.

The design is Cath Kidston's Classic Rose.
Background colour is a mix of Plaid's Folk Art acryclic paint in Ivory White and a drop (maybe 2) of Baby Pink. The palest shade of pink I've ever made.

It still needs another 2 coats of varnish :-)
